Alex Metric has had a very successful couple of years and is making quite a name for himself with his monthly cross genre Radio 1 show, In New DJs We Trust. Since signing to Adam Freeland‘s Marine Parade label back in 2007 he’s not only released 4 sensational electro pop EPs but also countless remixes for artists such as Hard-Fi, Ladyhawke, Pheonix, The Infadels and Reverend & The Makers. He’s talents have certainly not gone unnoticed – he won breakthrough producer at the 2008 Breakspoll awards and was voted remixer of the year by XFM, beating the likes of Soulwax and Justice. His new EP is called “It Starts” and is out on Marine Parade on 30th November. Think fuzzy 80’s style synth pop mixed with quirky, offbeat vocals and heavy electro beats. He has just recently supported the autoKratz on their UK tour with his new LIVE show (where he plays a KEYTAR!).
